Running a startup sometimes feels like riding a roller coaster. There are plenty of great moments and even more setbacks to learn from. What keeps us focused when things aren't going in the right direction? It's our passion for dog health, and all our friends who are cheering for us. Our Kickstarter backers, those who pre-ordered FitBark, our beta testers who have been providing vital feedback, the buyers reaching out to us, our animal health partners, and anyone who just sends us a note of encouragement.

We're delighted that our list of friends is growing. Last night at Kauffman Foundation's "Get in the ring: The North American Startup Clash", we were named one of the 5 most promising startups in North America (US, Canada, Mexico) at the end of a fun pitching competition where we were literally got in a boxing ring! We also won a special "Audience Award". Huge thanks to Kansas City and the KC Animal Health Corridor for cheering for us, and big props to Spot On Sciences for being crowned champion!

Now back to work on your FitBarks. With plenty of ups and downs as expected in startup life, it feels great to know that we're headed in the right direction.
