The IVAPM has dubbed September as Animal Pain Awareness month and has created this handy infographic as a way for pet owners to be able to easily recognize pain in their pets.

When your pet is demonstrating behavior related to pain, you may also notice that their activity levels are changing on their FitBark. Seeing the changed behavior and the difference in their FitBark activity or sleep levels is a good indicator that it may be time to schedule a visit to the vet. These are just common ways that our pets can demonstrate pain, so be mindful and take an active role in recognizing the signs of pain in your pets.
